Jim Brandonisio, a.k.a. Brando, a self-taught sign artist has been lettering and pin striping since 1973 at the age of 16. Born in 1957, in a northern suburb of Chicago, he picked up his fathers brushes just 3 years after his death, and has been involved in the arts ever since.

His work has been seen in many publications, such as:

With little schooling apart from American Academy of Art in Chicago, Jim's hands-on experience is the best teacher of all.
Following the racing circuit through the 80's, Jim's client list would be too long to mention, as he traveled the country painting some of the top name drag racers in the sport.
Now focusing more locally and speciallizing in motorcycle artwork, Jim's work can be seen on many Harley-Davidsons, and recently a special project bike for Ducati.

Constantly looking for new ideas, he spends much of his time on the drawing board, designing, sketching, cartooning or whatever comes to mind.
Jim is married with 3 children, which seems to balance out every minute of the day.
